How to Download and Join a Zoom Meeting

Zoom is one digital app which connecting everyone in this strange time. But one common question is how to join a meeting or where to start. It's not that difficult . Remember Skype in the beginning. It is pretty much like skype to me but in an advance way. There are many tutorials and online training available but I am gonna make it as simple as I can for those who are very new with the digital media or getting around this new way of life by adopting habit to use technology to connect people. Zoom is slightly different from other social apps as it has been used for office or business meeting previously. You usually receive an email with a meeting invitation link or Meeting ID: .. and a password. (see image below )

By clicking this invitation link, It usually asks you to download an app which some people find it easier that way. I am trying to make it easier to follow 5 simple steps. Please see the visuals below to download zoom first and then join a meeting.

Zoom app for mobile is different than logging on your desktop. Lets Download App for mobile-first 1. If you using iPhone then find App Store in your phone

Or If your phone is Android like Samsung, Nokia etc. then Play Store to download this app. (see image below )

2. Type Zoom in the search bar of the store then select "Zoom Cloud Meeting" .download that app (see image below )

3. Click your App and it will as you to join your meeting by Meeting ID or link. Go to invite email and copy and paste ID or link the box (see image below )

4.Then It will ask you to enter a password . You meeting ID and password would be in the email you have received from the host. (see first Image 1 above ) Once you will type password then you will be in the meeting.

For Desktop

You can log in and join a Zoom meeting on your laptop or Computer which most people do but Its slightly different from Mobile App . It could be simple step by clicking invite link and it will ask you to download Zoom which is the easiest way and I did the same in the beginning. The second way is you can type Zoom in your search engine (Google ) and will see something like this ..(see image below)

Click the link or Download zoom. If you click zoom website, It will give you the option to join meeting , Host Meeting or Schedule Meeting. Please click Join Meeting.

But you download it on your computer then you will see something like this below and click same option "Join" and follow the same steps mentions above.

Once you join a meeting, you will have option to turn on and off your camera and mic by clicking the mic and cam icon in front of your ID or below the left corner. See images a cabinet meeting google image below , I have circled Icons.

Apart from this, There are Zoom tutorials available on Youtube as well.

Tip:

1. It will be a good idea to create a profile by Signing Up.

2. Please try not to log in earlier than a meeting, It won't let you in and you might don't see anything. You can not get in a meeting till the host won't join.
